It's been ok up in Pa been out on the tractor quite a bit this year. Don't get me wrong it's been hot up in the upper 90's way more that I like it to be that is really hot for our area nothing like what you guys get but for us it is way out of the norm. What makes the temperature managable at my house is living less that a 1/2 mile off the glay banks of lake Erie we get a pretty good breeze of of the lake well most of the time that is, but still not like what you have. Hay has anyone else noticed the things that others say about LS in the other forums?

I haven't noticed many comments; what have you read?

Did some shredding around the pond and should be switching to disc tomorrow for our winter grain plot. 101 in the shade doesn't make it easy.
I'll make sure to post a photo.

Many comments about LS being a lower class of tractor, also comments on how NH and Case Int should be considdered lower class now because LS makes there compacts. Things like that. It just really erks me.

Yeah, I got tired of that nonsense a long time ago and just stopped even reading some of the forums up there. My honest opinion is that MANY people up there slamming LS are just trying to justify how much more money they had to spend on their "name brand" tractor to get the equivalent value in a LS with the same capability. There maybe some legitimate arguments for going with a particular brand over LS (large dealer network, faster parts delivery, etc...), but clearly much of the bias is totally unfounded. The one that annoys me the most is the supposed resale value of the name brand machines. I generally avoid used powered equipment regardless of brand unless I know the person selling it. Besides, if you do it right, you try really hard to get what you need the first time.

I just feel sorry for all the newbies asking what they should get in the "Buying/Pricing/Comparisons" forum. The answer is pretty much always the same: If you can't afford a new JD/Kubota/NH (or whatever) then you should get a USED version of one those -- even if you really know little or nothing about it and it comes with no warranty whatsoever.

I couldn't have said any better myself it's just so flustrating seeing things like that in print and then having others reading it who really don't know any better! And then to see it on the NH forum really supprises me. It seems that there must be a lot of people who are upset that NH stopped using Shibaura and are taking it out on LS. I was really just wondering if anyone else had noticed it, so I guess i'm not alone.

I am humored by the people that will tell you your Korean built tractor is no good but are too ignorant to know where their major brand tractor is built. In my line of work, I will always take a Korean part over an Indian built part.

Or complain about a Korean built relabled tractor, and in the same post complain how NH is just trying to save money by going away from Shibaura to LS. Where do they think Shibaura is built. But the NH people do have one valid complaint, that would be the lack of a cab for the compact tractors that would be sweet!

Not sure where all they are built, but I think Shibaura is a Japanese brand. Took Japan quite a while to get a good reputation in the US and South Korea is catching up pretty fast so far as I can tell.
