Where is the excitement?

For me, the hydraulic dump bed is not a real necessary item. I can't hardly ever imagine me hauling dirt, sand or rock in a dump bed. That is because I have a dump trailer that can do much more. How do people fill the dump box? I wouldn't do it by hand, that is for sure. If I just wanted to move some dirt or rock I would use the bucket or my dump trailer. I would really like the cargo ability of the box. Throw my tools in the back and off I go.
If the wife catches me spending any more time on TBN, then the extended cab with sleeper unit may come in handy!

i have never used the hydraulic dump - that is what the bucket is for. also the load ht is much higher than a bucket on the ground.

only thing i would miss is the sprayer i am having put in the dump box for de-icing and spraying weeds.

I am like you. The dump feature would be very limited for me. I would probably use it occassionally just because I am too lazy to manually remove what I put in the box. Bucket could easily do most of the tasks for moving material.

Speaking of working in reverse, one thing that always bugged me was trencher attachments, but now there is at lease one company that is making front mounted trenchers that are designed to be pushed rather than pulled.

Can you tell me which company is making the front mounted trencher?

Call Bob Tracy at 888-655-1101. He is the sales manager for Baschmann Services Inc. an equipment dealer. Last time I was in his store he said that he has a line on skid steer front mounted forward digging trenchers. Let us know what you find out.

I use my dump bed regularly...every time I fuel up! In order to pour from 5 gal containers and get every bit out I put the bed up so I can raise the container all the way up to drain every last drop. With the bed down, it is a pain to fill without a long nozzle.

Seriously, I find myself putting stuff in the bed all the time, but as you said, seldom actually dumping. I did collect a bunch of rocks on the property which I loaded by hand and it was nice to be able to dump them. However, if I didn't have the dump bed I would have used the bucket.
