Yes, I forgot to list the rotary cutter. Seems like the 52" would be perfect. How do you like your Midwest implements?

Thanks for the input.

Like you I also decided on a CK20HST. got a price from Little and then went local shopping. Two dealers here in NE Ohio. One said I was crazy and the other beat lttle price but had to order it. Went back to the 1st dealer came down on price then said it would be $475 to set up the 0%, Called around and found out there were raping me. Then they claimed to have confused the finacing and the true price is $275. So I went back to the second dealer and he said kiss off the 1st dealer had called him and gave him a hard time on the phone about the low price they gave me. The whole thing has kept me awake to many nights. I told the 1st dealer I would just buy from Little's and he said they would not do warranty repair work after he swore up and down I could get my tractor serviced at any Kioti dealer. I saw a post on this web site about not being able to get warranty service at other dealers. I guess its somewhat true. The CK20HST really is a nice machine but I'm looking at the other orange now. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Deaf,
One thing to remember is that the dealers have to co-exist together. So when you pit one dealer against the other it doesn’t surprise me the negative responses you received. If your concerned about warranty work, Kioti’s warranty does state you can take your tractor to any dealer for service, it doesn’t say you will be first in line but all dealers are now required to do warranty work, no matter where the tractor is purchased. You may need to buy close to home if this is a major concern for you. These issues are not specific to any "one" manufacturers dealer network. You may confront the same issues if you pit dealer against dealer from the other “Orange”, Blue, Green or Red .

It sounds like the one dealer was trying to make-up some of his costs in the financing end and it was fortunate you were able to see that.

It’s a matter of personal choice and what’s most important to you. If you want the absolute best price out there you might have to purchase some distance from where you live. If you have a dealer close by, it might not be your absolute best price. In a few cases, your nearest dealer is your best price and you win both ways. Good luck in your search.

Don,

Thanks for the input. I never set out to pit them but the 1st dealer said no way and I had to pony up the proof. I was willing to pay a few dollars more to get the tractor so we started the sale process and they tossed out the $475 fee for setting up the 0% then I lost it. So then they called the other dealer and the story goes on and on. I just wish there was a way to truly know what a fair price is. As with cars we can easly look up dealer cost then work from that. Tractors are new to me. i have no problem paying a fair price but whats the fair price.

I have found out that with all the zero percent financing, there is a "cash in lieu of financing" discount, just like with cars. Some dealers quote the low cash prices including the "cash in lieu of financing" discount, then when you tell them you want the financing, they have to add it back in. The best dealers have explained this up front so there are no surprises. But some people still think they are getting free financing. Usually, there is a statement in the contract indicating that the buyer is giving up his discount in favor of the free financing. Usually, at least on cars, I have been able to take the cash discount and pay intrest at my bank cheaper than the free financing, but not always. I always ask to figure it both ways.

I'd check out Sweet Farm Tractors a few messages above. They gave me a great deal on an implement, were fast, and very helpful. I also know many others have been very satisfied with them as well.

Deaf,
In Ohio try Owens Implements in Dover Ohio, or Roman Engine in New Middletown Ohio. I have dealt with both of these dealers extensively, both are upfront and honest.
Your experience should be better with either of these dealers.
