Where does one pickup the corrigated tin roof panels? I've seen a few of you build pole barns or lean to's and I'd like to put some up on a lean to I'm building.
Does Home Depot or Lowes carry it? I'm in Northern VA if that helps.

Thanks.

Any of the box stores or a lumberyard should have it.

The box stores do carry it. But like most everything else they carry it's the very thinnest and sorriest available.

A steel supply building supply will have the better stuff for just a little more money. They'll also have the advice, fasteners, accessories, and colors. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (a lot of the steel building suppliers used to look down on the do it yourselfer. they don't anymore, money /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It may be difficult to find Tin Roofing but most Building Supply Stores will have steel roofing and siding. They will order to you specifications including cutting to the length desired. Home Depot would be one source.

I am not endorsing this product - but your local HD has the pro-panel sheets in lengths of 12-20 feet. Various colors too.
In stock. I did a run in and bota haus just a few months ago.

It was good 'nuf 4 me. Close by too, so I could run up and get another when I needed it. Cause I can't count or measure wortht a darn.....

I haven't priced the sheets yet. Can anyone give me an estimate on how much they cost or how much I should pay per square foot?

At lowes I picked up some 29ga 8' x26" 5V galv steel roofing metal. Workes out to 24" usable coverage as you overlap the 2v's when laying side to side .. price per panel in florida was 7.56 each. they had 6' and it wasn't much cheaper.. Likewise.. as it got bigger ( 10' 12".. etc ) it got a little more expensive.. etc ).

hope that helps some.

I got it to finish up a 10x16 addition to a small tractor shed / lean-to.

The cost will vary on width of panel, the type of rib design and gauge of metal. Color may also have an impact on price.

In this area I've seen 29ga galvalume priced from .99 to 1.60 per linear foot. These panels cover three feet width and can be ordered cut to length. Prices vary with the times/market and whether painted or bright metal. Seems to me the people that specialize in this, such as metal building and roofing outfits have better prices and products than the box stores.

Well a few months ago the pro-panel 16 foot long sheets
were cheaper than T-111. About 22 bucks for metal, and 23 bucks for the wood.

Ye-OUCH.

But that is over now, and I have a pretty green roof for my orange tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
