I think the PTO shaft on the flail mower I got is a bit too short. There's only about 4" of overlap.
I figured it would be an easy thing to find. Especially here in the heart of ag country. I went to several major dealers in the area and none of them had PTO drive shafts. They all told me it would be exorbitantly expensive to "custom build" one for me. I went to a driveline place and they quoted me about $170.00 to rebuild the shaft I have with longer shafts and safety covers.
Is it really this difficult to replace a simple drive shaft?! On the implement end it has the push-pin release. The tractor end has the collar type release.
Any suggestions?
