Hey Guys,

I am about to build a new bucket for my old John Deere with a Case Model 60 loader on it. I would like to use the skid steer quik attach style brackets. I see ATI and Bradco make the attachment plate for the bucket or other attachments. I was wondering if anyone makes the parts to adapt to the loader with the attach/ release parts. I guess if someone had the parts at a reasonable cost, it would save the time fabricating something. Anyone with any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a difficult time finding what you are looking for. Seems like everybody is copying Bobcat's BobTach system, commonly called "skidsteer style quick attach". The bucket side can be made quite universal, consequently they're ready availability. The loader side has to be customized to the loader and since most loaders have some uniqueness, it almost impossible to have a universal "skidsteer quick attach" for loaders. I've never seen one.

Look thru the ATI PDF catalog they have online - there is a part on page 13 that may be what you are looking for - it is called a Weld On attachment plate for Tach All QA - says that it converts old buckets to accept Tach All quick attach. If that is not what you are looking for try looking at Metkit - www.metkit.com - they make the backhoes and stuff like that and I think they also make some quick attach stuff. Could also look at www.cadplans.com - I think they have some quick attach stuff.

OrangeGuy and Jim,

Thanks for the info. Jim, it looks like ATI has exactly what I was looking for. They do not have a listing for my exact loader, but I will talk to them and see if we can match something up. A little modifying would not be too bad, I just thought building the latches from scratch may be a little too much work. The CadPlans site has some pretty cool stuff also. Thanks again.

Larry,

Thanks for the info. That is the style of adapter plate I am looking for. I spoke to ABC Groff about the ATI Tach-All for the loader end and they want $1,200.00. Ouch. Some of the existing Tach-All's they have are just about 1/2 that. May either have to fabricate my own or modify one. I see in one of the posts you mentioned Rochester Steel, so I did not respond about them, but I may have to go visit them, and build my own. Thanks again. I will keep my eye on the E-Bay auction.

Your local bobcat dealer can set you up with a weld on plate ( bucket/implement) side for about $90, no ebay shipping. I know they also sell the "front end" of the loader though I do not know what it costs it is probably cheaper thatn you think and you cand adapt it to your use. I have a gehl skid steer that had the old style gehl hook mounts, i bought a adapter plate which converted the hooks to the universal " bobcat" style for $350, it has what you need. I retro fitted the gehl to universal mount and am in the process of making the old adapterplate into variable angle front end plate to adjust the angle of the bucket +/- 15 degrees of level. I think you will find the skid manufactures have cheaper prices on the universal attach stuff than the tractor companies you just have to get out the welder. glenn

Tour profile isn't filled out, are you located in the area? I have gotten a set off of ebay for around $90, and used the backplate to make a mount for a pickup truck plow blade. I hadn't thought about contacting my local skidsteer dealer (a good idea), but if you are in the upstate NY area - that would be either Monroe Tractor (Case), Syracuse Supply (Cat), or Fivestar (Deere).
Best,
Larry

Glenn and Larry,

Thanks for the advice. I have a Bobcat dealer close by that are really good guys. I will check with them about the plate and loader "latches". Larry, I am in Wyoming, NY which is south of Rochester about 45 mi. I stopped at Monroe Tractor in Buffalo today to check on seal kits to rebuild my cylinders, while I have everything apart, and asked them about the adapter plate. They sell the ATI plate and list he quoted me was approx $200.00. I thought this was a little high, so I figured I would not waste his time getting a price on the Tach-All because he said he was not too familiar with the ATI stuff. I need to fill out my profile. Sorry about that. I will let you guys know how I make out at the Bobcat Dealer.

Thanks again,
Russ

For some reason, the tractor dealer's don't seem to be too up on "universal quick attach". I wanted a qa plate and stopped by the Deere (tractor and equipment) dealer. Don't stock them would have to order it at $165.00 plus shipping. I passed and drove the extra 30 minutes to the bobcat dealer. In stock at $100.00 and turns out they were the brand. Good luck on your search. I really enjoy having things on the front of the machine.
