Amerequip and Ansung make loaders for Branson, so I would suspect that they make some of the BHs as well. This is purely speculation though. I would bet that the BHs with an X in the model # are made by Amerequip.

You are absolutely right. Ansung (made in Korea )and Ameriquip ( USA ) make the Branson Backhoe according to the Rep I talked to yesterday. I still don't know which one is being shipped right now with the new tractors, ( I shell find out ) I want to buy one and I want to know who made it. The one I looked at, is only stamped with BH 760 . The Dealer keeps telling me Branson makes there own FEL and Backhoes, which is not so. Does anyone have any experience with ANSUNG equipment ??? I would think the Made in USA would have better steel in it and would be stronger..

Just got an E- Mail from Branson and they tell me the BH 760 Backhoe is made in Korea and I take it that is by Ansung.

I could be wrong but I believe Kioti FEL and BHs are made by Ansung. If so they are very well made. Send a note to Rick Wallace here on TBN as he would know. I'm sure the other Kioti dealers could answer the question too.

I have a 3510h with a 8620 bh, bought in January of '08. The plate on it says that it is made by Ameriquip. The loader is Ansung.

Yes you are right my FEL said on it "ANSUNG" made in Korea.. I am looking at the Backhoe and as near as I can tell it is made by Ansung. They make Backhoes and FEL for New Holland and Kobota and Branson, ( they say this on there Web Site ) Also Ameriquip make them as well.. It will be interesting to see which one I wind up with. They have it sitting in there yard now on another Tractor.. Both are good units I understand..
I am looking at a BH 760 model and they want $7450.00 installed..
Woods Dealer wants $ 9228.00 .So you know where I'm going. I
would think you can buy these cheaper in the USA. ?

I've gotten a little use out of the hoe. The thing is indispensible when you need it, but it does sit around alot. It has worked very well for me, almost too powerful for the weight of the tractor. Built very well, have had no trouble. Kind of like the rest of the tractor:thumbsup:

Interesting. I own a Woods BH90x but have never "discovered" the feature you describe. I don't recall feeling any indent the way I do when putting a FEL into float position. I'd double check with Woods to confirm that feature if it is important to you (then let the rest of us know what you learned).

It is that way on my Amerequip 8600 hoe - and YES, it is a nice feature.

I am fairly sure that the 7 1/2 ft hoe is also an Amerequip OEM unit.
They have made them for many tractor "manufacturers" in matching colors, including JD green.

I don't know specifically about the 8620 hoe, it may just be a later revision of the 8600 by Amerequip.

PS "Installation" isn't worth paying any money for.
I brought mine home in a horse trailer and unloaded it with the pallet forks, then just assembled it in the front yard using the FEL a couple of times as a crane.
Simply bolt together the rear tower & seat section to the under-tractor frame.
Hook the hoses into the hydraulic system, then back over it and hook it up.
No special tools required, REALLY simple nuts and bolts assembly - DONE.

I was up to the Dealer the other day and I see that all his Backhoes and FEL are made by " Ansung of Korea ". They are stamped right on the left side of
the units. He was telling me that he only wants them shipping Fel and BH's
that are made by Ansung. as he said they are well made. so I guess I know what kind of a unit I will be getting from him. Yes I would think it is not rocket science to hook a Backhoe up just have to tee in the lines from the Hydraulic pump ....

Those are the new and current ones, right ?
The one for $6200 ...is that a new, used, or NOS (new, old stock) unit ?
I don't think you will find the Ansung to be any "better" than the Amerequip - and if it means anything to you the Amerequip IS made in USA, is OEM'd to Montana, JD & others so you may have a wider parts availability a few years from now.

Something you probably want to get right BEFORE nailing the deal down TOO tightly is bucket size.
There are MANY threads on this, but it seems to be a consensus that a narrow bucket is nice for tasks like trenching and root ripping, but won't empty easily if you have sticky clay.
A wide bucket is nice for moving lots of sandy loam around.
I got lucky with mine, they offered to throw in an extra bucket AFTER the deal was done.
Buckets are around $500 and a 24 inch one can be a curse for trenching (-:

That is a brand new one and it is a current one. The dealer I am with will only bring in Ansung as he said they are better built then the others. I have no way of proving that, as I have not seen the other ones. Woods I know make a great backhoe. But they are more money.about a thousand dollars more or at least from the Dealer I talked too.
Yes I want an 18 inch bucket as I have sandy soil here..I can get them to throw that in as they said there is only $ 64.00 difference from a 16 inch.
I don't need a 24 inch one. It might be to much for the hoe. As far as throwing and extra bucket I doubt that will happen although you never know.
