Which Box Blade Should I Get?

/ Which Box Blade Should I Get? #21
Don't worry about it, Matt. Personally, I think Kubota's maximum implement size ratings in the manuals are pretty conservative. I would guess that's because they don't want you to buy a tractor and implements, then complain that the tractor won't handle the implements they specified. And just like maximum towing ratings for cars and pickup trucks, they don't know what kind of terrain you'll be working on; i.e., they don't specify one size for for clay, one for sand, one for gravel, etc. In other words, that's a generalized recommendation; you can go larger or smaller depending on your personal needs. That's within reason, of course. If you damage that B7800 trying to power a 15' batwing brush hog, they might not cover it under warranty. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

( The 65" Bush Hog box blade has been working pretty well for me so far. However, when I looked in the owners manual for my B7800 it said that the largest size box blade I should use on it is 54" and 500 lbs.)

I think the 65" box is too big for your tractor, maybe I should take it off your hands for my L3130.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just kidding. I would say if it works OK, just take it easy and don't over do it.
