Which brand of logging winch

I have a Norse 450 that I bought from Labonville. They had the best price on a winch this size and I have been very happy with it. I added a receiver trailer hitch to the hinged butt plate and a couple more tool/chain holders on the sides of the winch. Still need to put a saw scabbard on it someplace one of these days. I researched all the other common brands and feel that I got the best deal with my Norse even without considering the cheaper price. I am very happy with it. I run my JD 5210 at idle when winching but still stand off to the side in case of a cable snap. I would not buy one that did not come with a screen guard since I sometimes drop and re-winch a hitch from the tractor seat in a hazardous area.

Thanks for the help guys. I had looked at the Farmi but wanted to see what else was out there that was good.

They are all very well built. I have a very old Fransgard which was rough when I bought it in 2002; I've spent a little on it, but since then I've cut over 200 cords of wood with it and pulled my truck out of the mud a few times.

Farmi JL351P, I've only had it year but definitely my favorite attatchment. Also get the self-releasing snatchblock.:thumbsup:
