Which Brush Cutter?

BTW All, what is the largest size brush cutter I should run on the 4310?

Hi, Nuru. According to the 4000 ten series brochure, the 4310 is compatible with the LX4, LX5, and LX6 light duty cutter and the MX5 medium duty cutter. Hope that helps.

I've tried several times to open Jerry's attachment and can't do it.. I keep getting invalid file path

Specs show 728 lbs for MX5 plus 40 for front chains and 55 for back chains; 944 lbs for MX6 plus 47 for front chains and 62 for back chains. MX5 takes 25 pto hp, MX6 takes 30 pto hp as minimums.

An added thought - the center of gravity for these cutters will be roughly 33" behind the hitch balls for the MX5, 39" for the MX6, considerably more than the 24" at which most hitches are rated.

Edited to correct typo on chain weights for MX5. Wish I didn't fat finger things so ofhen!

Thanks GW, looks like if I go Deere, then the MX-5 is as far as I would go. I gotta look at woods and Landpride too. They are gonna be cheaper. But a used MX-5 would still be in the ball park.
