Which deck treatment for 2013?

I bought a Wagner Airless after using their corded spray gun to do the house once- (what a pain, even with a hose extension to suck it out of a 2 gallon bucket), the airless sprayer with 75' of hose makes it much easier.

I once painted a mobile home my parents had at the time on the Texas coast. Dad had bought a Wagner one quart corded sprayer and I went all the way around the mobile home twice one day. By the time I went around the first coat was dry. Then the next day I went all the way around twice doing the trim in a contrasting color. It did a good job, but terribly noisy and the vibration sure gets to your hands after awhile. If you have a lot to do, the airless with a long hose is definitely the bet way to go, but I now just have a one quart Campbell-Hausfeld spray gun and plenty of air hose back to my compressor. It, too, does a pretty good job, but requires frequent stops to refill the canister.

I've never used the Flood sealer, but the guy at one paint store said it was the best.

Well after the input here and a "survey" of the local Hardware store, Lowes and HD I went with Olympic Maximum - semi transparent - Canyon Brown. So far I've used about 12.5 gallons to cover about 1100 sq ft .
IF I finish the decks at the retirement house in Mississippi I'll probably double that because I've got another 1100 sq feet to do.
.
I wonder if I could find a source for a 50 gallon drum?
At about $150 per 5 gallons this stuff gets expensive.

Oh and concerning those deck "paints" designed to fill cracks etc. I managed to get 3 gallons at Home depot on their "whoops" shelf at $7/gallon instead of the normal about $30 price. On reading the label each gallon is only supposed to be good for about 50 square feet!

Okay boys, I'm learning something (I think!). Thomas, it makes sense that some color will help with UV harm.

Jhasafe, you still mention sealing, but the words of me old friend about not trying to really seal treated wood keeps coming to me old haid. I still just want to retreat, not really seal. Am I living in the past (my answer - YES - cain't get into modern age!)?
