hands down no exception the bush hog, been around a long, great rep., built like a tank, with proper care will out last the tractor, and parts are avaliable and will be 20 years down the road and at just about any tractor/implement dealer!

I currently have a Bush Hog model 285 rotary cutter and had 3 Bush Hog Squealer rotary cutters in the past, but have never used either one of those brands of finish mowers. I know which one I'd buy though if I were you- the Bush Hog. I wouldn't even second guess it.

You can get a brand new 6ft Sitrex rear finish mower (rear discharge) for about $1200.00 with new driveshaft included.

Sitrex (made in Italy)

I have owned one and it mowed 7 acres every 10 days for 3 years and only had to adjust the belt once. It is a great mower for the money.

If you dead set on the two mowers pictures I would go with Maschio.

If I am correct Maschio is made in Italy,they are a leading maker of rear tillers.coobie

I have a maschio tiller and i can tell you that is built like a tank..... I would expect the same from the mower....

Never used an MJ, but I have used a Bush Hog RFM. It cut great, strongly built, yet was't overly heavy. You can't look at specs on a RFM. You have to eyeball them. Things like wheels, shafts, belt adjustment can give you a real pain if they're not rugged and well designed.

Thank's for your suggestions. Though both mowers look to be in good shape from the pictures, I would have to drive a pretty good distance to see either one(and they are in opposite directions), so I had not seen either mower in person. Yesterday, I stopped by a tractor dealer not far from me and he had a used Woods RD7200 that looked almost brand new for $1100, so I bought it. I hope I got a good deal, what do you guys think?
