So let me specify what I am looking for. When sitting and looking over the New Holland and the Kubota, both are great. What I want to focus on specifically is which one will have less break downs, have better part avail should somthing break, and which will be easier to maintain?

It's not possible for anybody to tell which one will break down more often, ideally neither would ever break, but that's not likely. Keep in mind this was originally a Kubota site and there are a lot of Kubota owners here. I haven't seen that many NH owners, but that's just a personal observation. Both sets of users report problems, you may see more Kubota problems, but there are more Kubota owners.

I'd wager Kubota parts may be easier to get, certainly used parts, but I doubt you ever have problems finding parts for either. They will both require almost the exact same amount and type of maintenance.

I don't think anybody has asked yet and maybe you've addressed it in another thread, but why only these two? There are a lot of great tractors to look at.

Pretty much what kiotiken said, we all have our preferences and many of us own or have owned different brands. We have had a lot of trouble with Massey Ferguson, Case and John Deere brands, but no where will you find me referring to them as unreliable brands. Every manufacturer will have a bad one from time to time.

I know next to nothing about LS tractors, so my choice will be the Kubota whereas in all likelihood an LS owner with no Kubota experience will go with the LS. My preference is purely personal and not based in any facts.

I see the quality on the top names as being pretty much the same. There are Kubota models I don't like and models of other makes I love.

I recommend considering all of them and making a decision on what fits you the best with good dealer support. We have two Kubota dealers, one I love and one I refuse to do business with.

Good luck.

In my area there are bobcat, NH, and kubota. What other tractors do you recommend?

NH or Kubota, as reliability goes, one isn't any better that the other. You take care of the tractor, the tractor takes care of you. Simple as that. I'd try both of them and see what you like best. We have 3 New Hollands and our dealer is good, but I wouldn't shy away from a Kubota if I hafta.

I would look at John Deere and Massey Ferguson as well; lots of people also like Mahindra and LS; we don't have a good dealer in our area, so I am not familiar with them. I believe Kioti and Bobcat are the same tractor. There may be others, I just can't think of any off hand.

I recently concluded my tractor shopping. On the list were Kubota, Kioti, Bobcat and Mahindra. There are plenty of others here who would have had other brands on the short list.

I didn't include Deere because they didn't have anything that appealed to me in the size range I was looking at. Green fans probably think that's crazy.

I didn't include LS - along with the tractors they make in different brands and colors - because of my experiences with a Montana we have at work. Our Montana had a number of "bugs" that I wouldn't expect to have. We also had a mishap where a guy damaged the instrument panel. That wasn't LS's fault of course. The gripe I had was that it took over a month for our dealer to get one in. I don't think LS has the depth and support most of the better-known names have.

Everybody here is biased one way or another, so I wouldn't put that much stock in the responses. The honest answer is all 3 of those for sure, and as many more as you can. Bobcat is a white Kioti and shouldn't be discounted, but there's that bias I'm talking about

So what did you end up with? :)
