Amos, good write up and I also feel you will do best to wait and find exactly what you want. At least you are looking at the right brand! I have no problem buying used and saving big money. I paid 16k, no sales tax for my L3800, w/14 hrs, fel and Land Pride mower. And no payments! I stopped doin debt 32 years ago and can't go back. :2cents:

Thanks Bluegill... (and others, too!)

Bluegill, you may be happy to know that you use the finest lure in the tacklebox to reel in potential DT-buyers.

You came very close to getting me to bite until you said you were only 51, a mere tadpole compared to this dinosaur with many hours on the meter :)

The best thing about the used market, is it's always changing. I wouldn't give up on being able to find what you want used. I kept tabs daily on different websites like craigslist, ebay and tractor house/machinery house to find what I wanted. When I bought, I had to have it shipped in 1,800 miles away from Montana and I'm so happy I did. I couldn't afford new and I waited long enough to get everything I wanted for a great price. I'd be checking the web everyday to see if there's a new one out there. With that said, I got lucky in getting a very nice tractor, some people aren't as lucky. If you plan on keeping this tractor the rest of your life over the next couple decades it's only penny change a year for new vs used.

Good luck in your decision!

I would get a price of one at the dealer equipped like I wanted it. Keep in mind if you buy used and don't pay cash and get loan you have to pay interest, if you buy new you get it interest free.

Remember, if you buy a used L32 or 3800, you can still order dealer installed accessories (IE:TNTkit, remote valves) the dealer.
Also, you get the 0% financing when all of this is included with the tractor as well as any Landpride implement.

I agree with the others in regards to purchasing the make and model that best suits your needs, both now and in the future. If you are like most of us, one doesn't buy a tractor every year or as often as personal vehicles such as cars or trucks. In the end, you will be the one using the tractor. Do all the research that you can, take your time, and undoubtedly of considerable importance is to purchase the make and model that you want. BTW, it took me almost a year to make my decision.Best wishes.

Don't fall for that. There NO such thing as Free interest. You pay for it.

Check out Barlow Equipment. Contact Barlow Kubota Here is a link to the page with Brady's email. It is worth getting a price on new. 0% financing, but you will have to buy insurance from Kubota unless your home owners or the like will cover it. If you do not live in Kentucky, then there would be no sales tax from Barlow's. Out of state is still tax free for now. Barlow's ships all over the country. They delivered mine to Texas and beat all the local dealers by a bunch. Email Brady and you should get a response back quickly. Good luck and happy tractor shopping.

If you pay for cash you only get a $1000 rebate. Where can you get a 5 year loan loan on 20k for that?
