Kiotio DK5010 is the tractor. I've been warned on here before that I can't lift much with a tractor, and I believe that. I regularly unload steel trucks and often it's just light stuff. I'd like a set of pallet forks for when there's too much snow on driveway. Since I cannot lift much with a tractor anyway do I need heavy duty pallet forks? What about these cheap ones on Amazon?

Non adjustable forks would be an instant deal breaker for me. 4000 lb forks are commonly paired with tractors that size.

It won’t lift nearly as much as the SSQA forks and the visibility sucks.

Wasn't my point, my Terramite won't lift as much as the clamp ones are rated for either. The point is many buckets are not made very strong and will bend under even the lighter load, because the load is placed far out on the end of the bucket.

The point is forks clamped on a bucket edge will lift less than forks on a SSQA coupler attached to the same tractor.
And clamp on forks generally have less visibility than direct coupled forks.

Yes and no

Agree clamp has less vis, and due to being further out, bucket curl will be less
Don't agree it will lift less, vertical weight is vertical weight

In any case, the OP was asking for thoughts/comments, we all get to post those things

Center of mass is further from the curl pivot and further from the lift pivot with clamp on forks. Both curl and lift paths are radial, not vertical. Disagreeing does not change it.

That would be true in a forklift mast but definitely not on a tractor loader.

It still isn’t true for a forklift. While it might not make any difference to the hydraulics it will make a big difference on tipping the machine forward.
