Kubota L3010, Kubota KX 41-3 Excavator Upgraded to Kioti DK65S with cab and Farmi winh
I have always had Kubotas but now looking at the Kioti DK55cab and the DK65Cab. It is time to trade up from my Kubota L3010 Hydrostat to something bigger. It is between the Kubota 4330cab, 5030cab and the Kioti DK55/DK65cab.
I have read many posts but it is difficult to make a switch out of your comfort zone.
Now the questions! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Will I miss the hydrostaic drive of the Kubota? or will the extra power of the Kioti make up for it? The posts say the Kioti cab is bigger and it does seem to have more standard features that Kubota has only as options. Which shade of orange will work the best for me over the long row to hoe?
I will be using a Hy-Reach tree shear on the front and Fami type winch on the rear for tree farm activities. I am clearing and thinning and planting trees. I also grow and sell cold hardy Bamboo and ornamental grasses. I will be thankfull of any and all help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Stay in your comfort zone! The Kubota L30 series cab has plenty of room. I am over 6' and 200 lbs. No problems with entering/exiting/operating with the Kubota factory cab. It's quiet and high quality just like the rest of the tractor.

I would never give up the hydrostatic transmission on an under 50-60 HP tractor especially if it will have a loader. Kubota's manual cruise control allows you to operate the tractor like a gear tractor should the need arise.

If you are clearing trees, I can recommend the L5030 HST. I took down 12 inch wide trees by pushing them over. Wait till right after a good rain and go for it. You won't believe the power.

I don't know much about Kioti but would certainly give them a complete look. I've heard nothing but good things. On the other hand, I know that is true of my Kubota.

I think you are really looking at two totally different TYPES of tractors. The Kubotas you are looking at are pretty much full featured CUTS but the Kiotis you are looking at are much more of a Utility Class tractor, heavy bodied, more hp, larger, etc. If you want to compare UT to UT then you really need to look at the Kubota M5700 and M6800 respectively in comparision to the Kioti DK 55 and 65. That match up would be more closely apples to apples than the smaller 4330 and 5030 you are looking at.
