Last year I had hoped to buy a NH 451 sickle mower to hook onto the rear of my NH TC35, but our A/C-Heat unit went out and I had to lay out $$$ for that since the OWMBO likes the inside of the home to be at a comfortable temperature. I couldn't really argue that point.
Problem is that at the time, several NH 451 were available, but now that the bank account is somewhat replenished, it seems that those particular mowers have become extinct, at least those which are for sale. However, there are a number of Ford 501 and Massey Ferguson 31 and 41 mowers available.
I need a belt drive which will permit a downward angle because my main need is to cut the bank of my lake, which has a steep angle on the levee side. So should I wait until an elusive 451 becomes available, or would a Ford 501, or MF 31 or 41 work nearly as well?
I appreciate any and all thoughts.
