IMHO nothing will beat a true tooth bar for digging in virgin soil or any soil that has imbedded small rocks.
Tip the bucket and back drag and you'll rip out all roots etc.
A real tooth bar will have the teeth extending 3-5" ahead of the cutting edge hence small stones will not deflect and you'll have full bucket loads every time.
Generally a tooth bar sports hardened replaceable teeth that pin on for easy replacement.
While I like the clever idea of the Piranha I would consider it as not a HD digging tool.
A FEL equipped with a bolt on tooth bar becomes a whole new machine.
My CUT now thinks it is a skidsteer or occasionally even doubles as a mini excavator.
So you have a 60" bucket? If so what size Piranha did you get? Thanks
That's what this site is best at. Helping us spend money.Piranha also seems to be cheaper.
Another tool I didn't know I needed until I started reading this.
You guys are gonna break me spending all this money for tools you have convinced me I need.
