I'll post to let you know what they tell me tomorrow. You'll need to see if you're getting the 60" or 66" bucket.

Yes, it’s the 60” Bucket.

IMHO nothing will beat a true tooth bar for digging in virgin soil or any soil that has imbedded small rocks.
Tip the bucket and back drag and you'll rip out all roots etc.
A real tooth bar will have the teeth extending 3-5" ahead of the cutting edge hence small stones will not deflect and you'll have full bucket loads every time.
Generally a tooth bar sports hardened replaceable teeth that pin on for easy replacement.

While I like the clever idea of the Piranha I would consider it as not a HD digging tool.

A FEL equipped with a bolt on tooth bar becomes a whole new machine.
My CUT now thinks it is a skidsteer or occasionally even doubles as a mini excavator.

Have you ever used a tractor with a PTB?

Then you have NO basis for making the statements above-

I have used both, and while there likely are or at least could be some things a traditional bolt-on toothbar may be better at, I haven't found any yet.

Sorry to be harsh, but I have gotten pretty tired of people promoting what they think they know, in the absence of ever having had any fair comparison.

So you have a 60" bucket? If so what size Piranha did you get? Thanks

I measure the inside of my 60" bucket and gave them that number when I ordered my toothbar. I think it was 59 3/4"??? I'd have to go measure again?

I got a big 'ol heavy duty tooth bar from - Rankin. Eight big teeth across my 72" bucket. Rips topsoil, roots and pries under big rock just fine.

Piranha also seems to be cheaper.

Another tool I didn't know I needed until I started reading this.

You guys are gonna break me spending all this money for tools you have convinced me I need.

Well, the decision has been made, after much deliberation, I'm going with the Piranha, It seems like most people are happy with their decision either way. I'll be sure to post my objective review when I have put a few hours on it.

I want to thank everyone who has posted their views on this subject. You've all been very helpful! :drink:

I ordered my Piranah Bar earlier today. I can't wait for it to come in and give it a whirl.
