Before you pull the trigger check out LS TRACTORS. I BET THE MT573 would suit you perfectly. Loaded with standard options super comfortable. I had one for a year before I went up size, also LS. Only went up in size because I need a bigger tractor for a a big hay baler. Great quality, strong, reliable engines, lots of standard features that you have to pay extra for on other brands

Thanks for the suggestion, I did go look at the website and look for a dealership.

I think you probably meant the MT357, as that's the comparable HP. It does look very interesting, and I like the power with the smaller wheelbase.

The dealerships are too far away to make it practical for testing and trying. Gettysburg, PA or Remington, VA are both just too far. I have to balance out the fact that I still work full time, commute to work, run my little horse farm, and ride and compete my horses with the 8a-5p hours that tractor dealerships keep. I haven't signed the papers yet, but I'm scheduled to go up and do that Saturday morning. I'll call the Gettysburg dealership tomorrow to see what they have in stock, but as someone above noticed, this has been a 7 year timeline, and I'm tired of no brakes and a rusted out FEL.

I wonder, if they have a booth at the Frederick Co Fair though...that would be a way to sit on one.

OP, I own a 8 acre horse farm in Fauquier county just outside Warrenton. The MF’s are very nice tractors, I checked them out too. One thing, you mentioned you didn’t like how the HST M models came to an abrupt halt. Those HST’s are electronically adjustable with a dial next to the seat. And I echo the previous statement to try the shuttle shift on an M model, very nice from what I hear. Last I saw, the Kioti/Yanmar (McMichael’s) dealer in Nokesville doesn’t have an open station Yanmar YT347/359 in stock, only a cab model, drive by there all the time. Good luck tomorrow. Very exciting!

Good to know on the HST adjustability. I still probably wouldn't like it much. I still drive a manual transmission car. But, good to know for if I am ever operating one, I now know to ask about that.

Thanks, I expect my next post will include pictures of a new tractor! Finally!!!:giggle:

My new tractor was delivered yesterday, around 1pm.

I parked it in the garage, briefly pulled it under my barn awning, but horses are jerks and will scrape the paint with their teeth, so we moved the Zero Turn out of the garage, and then I went to work. I'll post some pictures soon. It's sure pretty.

Have done a few modifications to help my wife use the B26 primarily to mow with.
Differential lock pedal. Some parts of what we mow takes 4wd and diff lock. All the engaged or not.

Parking brake lever and “brake on” light.

Both well worth investments for happy marriage.

I forgot pictures, but hooked up to my drag, decided it was set a little bit wider than necessary (at the max 32.5" width for 3 pt), so we bumped that in to 31". Just a little easier for putting it on/off, and it isn't using the PTO.

For the mower, it works quite well.

It's now got a bit over 5 hours! My son was home this weekend and I gave each of the boys a ride up and down the driveway, then my son mowed some, with one of the boys (wearing hearing protection). I nixed him thinking he could have both boys, AND mow. That was an "absolutely NOT! One is already dangerous, children get killed every year in accidents". His wife was very happy to hear me telling him NO, as she was heading that way to step in. It is a pretty level field so not a super risky place, and it was straight line mowing.

I'm a little nervous with one, despite the fact that I used to mow with him when he was a little boy. We get old and more safety conscious!
