That's good to hear. I never looked at the 2410 as I was already stretching to get the 7500. When I started reading on TBN about the height control I was wondering if I made the right choice. It would be nice to have it so I wouldn't lift the mmm too far though. If I raise it all the way up, one of the rear mmm wheel brackets rubs on my R4's which are in their full outward position. Not a huge problem, just annoying when I forget. Goes BANG BANG BANG BANG so I don't forget for long..../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I think you made a smart observation when you said that you could even achieve what you want with the BX. This is retirement we are talking about after all. 5 acres is well within the capabilities of a BX based on my experience - I do 2 acres every week through the summer and it's no big deal. If I didn't have kids running around I'm sure that I could easily stretch out a few more hours on the tractor puttering around. Mowing is always a good excuse unless you absolutely hate it for some reason.

So, unless you are an absolutely frantic type A personality, give the BX some consideration!! Best of luck with the decision.

I think the B is a better choice. For finish mowing, the B's are better in terms of ease of mmm deck install/removal, maneuverablility and weight. If you anticipate that lifting, digging, pulling and dirt-engaging chores will consistently occupy more tractor time than mowing, those are the circumstance when I might start looking at the 3010 for a 5 acre lot. I think you can probably do it all with any of the B's, but I would go with the 2910 just to have the extra power and increased implement size (eg, a 72" mmm and a 60" rotary shredder).
