Which tractors are orphans and which are common?

I think we should get together a list of which tractors the usual dealers feel are orphans and why. Maybe just a reply that lists a model and why (i.e. parts, unusual engine that isn't made any longer, etc).

If you think model is not an orphan that someone else thinks is an orphan say so, but no arguing.

FX28D not common, not an orphan because it is newer

I guess the YM2200 and YM2700 are the 1st obvious candidates for the list. EVERYTHING is different on those tractors. From the hour meter cable and water pump, to the valve cover gasket, and voltage regulators. Almost nothing matches any of the other Yanmar tractors. Parts are slowly coming around for them though.

Since we now have "new , reconditioned" tractors being marketed in the US, A couple more models would be the YM270, YM177, & YM273. They are older than the Ym2200 & YM2700. The only people selling them are the "new , reconditioned" dealers.

Are the YM1600 and 1900 a little off also? I know the frame setup is different.

I have a YMG1800D and have not found anyone else with one, so I think I'm an orphan /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

IThe YM1600 & YM1900 I wouldn't call orphans. Many of the same parts as the YM1700 & YM2000. The YMG model are little different ,but still pretty good part availibilty

We have a FX265D that we can't seem to get much info on, is it an orphan or just uncommon?
