Which "Type" of Grease ?

Whatever grease you chose the one thing to keep in mind is do not co-mingle.
Stick with it, either moly or lithium.

There isnt such a thing as molly grease for compatibility. Molly is a (black) additive to a base grease type, usually a lithium type. You can find lithium grease with & without the nasty black molly in it.

The molybdenum*in there has platelets that bond to metal well & are pretty slippery. As such it works well under high pressures. The molly can cause issues with high speed bearings, but nothing on a tractor, at least parts that are greased are high speed (thousands of RPMs, not hundreds).

I like to use a water resistant grease for a chassis lube on my vehicles. I find u-joints last a lot longer with a water resistant grease. Since I don't like having several different types of grease around everything gets the same grease. In my case I use Gaddus S4 V600AC from Shell. Not because it's any better than any other grease. It's just what I found when I was looking.

I really don't care about the price per tube. I went from a rear u-joint once a year to a u-joint every five years on my 1990 Cummins by switching to a water resistant grease. The extra I pay for grease more than compensates for u-joint changes.

I was just reading my WSM for the 1154 FEL on my m7060 and recommends MOLY EP, Extreme pressure" and containing Molybdenum disulfide is recommended. This grease may specify "Moly Ep"
on it's label.

On something I will use quite often and maintain like my tractor I just buy the .99$ stick from rural king and do it monthly or every other month.

Something that gets greased once a year or so I'll spring for lubriplate or another name brand

Another factor is how easily it is contaminated or leaks out. My ball joints on the tractor don't have boots so I have to keep the grease on em. My truck has boots so yearly is fine or less

I buy synthetic grease from an auto parts store, that's all I use for my loader and every bearing ect.. on my trucks and tractors.

I've not had even one grease related problem in years and years...

Our sons JD round baler recommended Polyurea grease so he started using it in everything. It's not that expensive.

I'm just reporting what I find as I read through the FEL WSM. The rest of tractor says NLGI-1 or NLGI-2
