Which type socket holder works best in a tool chest?

The red socket holders on the right are Craftsman. The plastic socket holders are firm but workable. They come with 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" holders which I have adjusted to somewhat organize my sockets. A bit of a "bear" to pick up due to the weight if I want to move the tray to wear I am working. The blue holders are magnetic, 1/4" drive metric and standard. Easy to move to a project and the magnet will hold to a vehicle. Two more one piece blue magnetic holders in the back left for 12 pts. One metric, one standard. A white kitchen drawer organiizer for my 1/4" and 3/8" extentions/ratchets. Lastly, my metal strip/holders that I have had forever. A tool tray keeps them organized and upright. Mostly, my socket holder choices come down to maximizing the drawer space and not upgrading if I don't have to.

I have several styles of plastic tool box trays and kitchen organizers in my toolbox to somewhat make it organized.

Anakisk I do to. I like to just pick it up without a struggle. For my field work I have a Gear Wrench set. And I love the set up. Also love the wrenches. I think I’ll never be set up exactly like I need

I just bought this cart that was on sale at HF. It holds all my sockets and just enough tools for simple jobs in the shop. I like that I can push it where I’m working. The upper compartment has the plastic peg trays for sockets and is shown before I filled it up.

In my toolbox I have the holders pictured in the post above me with the center divider showing size with room for deep and shallow, I didn't want the type with the long post that sticks through the sockets since some have waisted holes at the drive or other dumb stuff... In 4 years of use I have no regrets, I like them...
