Which way when dismounting your tractor?

/ Which way when dismounting your tractor? #21
I have a DX55 and I agree with the OP, the step is small and tucked under the platform. the tractor is fairly tall, but I just take the big step off forward and avoid the step altogether. I get on the same way, from either side, stepping right up on the platform. One of these days I need to get used to the step and only mount/dismount using it while facing the tractor.

I try to always get off by climbing down facing the tractor using the 3pt contact rule...easy on tractors like my JD 955 and the Kubota B21 at work with their low floors and not as many knobs/levers...but I've got to say getting off the JD 950 at work, with it's narrow step and foot platforms, bigger fenders, and gearshift/range selector on the transmission in the middle, it's quite an aggravation even for a younger guy like me who is still fairly nimble (and that goes for many of the older smaller tractors)
