Buying Advice Which Woods Back Hoe with on a DK40/45SE, BH80-X or BH90-X

I am in the middle of selecting a tractor and I am getting some pricing information from the Dealer. I am looking at either a CK35HST with a Woods BH70-X with thumb or a DK40 or 45 SE HST with either a woods BH80-x or BH90-x

I like the Woods Back hoes over the Kioti brand but just wondering if the BH90-X is too much Hoe for the DK40 or 45.

Any experiences or suggestions?

Not familiar with those tractors capabilities but the BH90 is fantastic model and works well on my tractor 58 hp. If your model will handle it get the larger.

I think you will be fine with a bh90-x, or a Wallenstein gx 920 hoe which will also fit your tractor.

90x all the way if you don't want the OEM. Keep in mind that you will probably save $1000 going with the Kioti over the Woods.

BH-90x is the appropriate match for the DK 40/45 etc. I've had one for seven years. No complaints, no problems. Only beef is that they charge too much for the hydraulic thumb, something like $1500 more than for the mechanical thumb. Only difference is a foot operated valve, some hose and a single hydraulic cylinder. But, the basic BH is great.

I ended up going with a DK40SE HST and a woods BH80-x with hydraulic thumb. The 90 was $2000 more and I just could not justify it. The Woods 80-x has slightly better specs than the Kioti KB2485 and with a thumb was the same price installed as the Woods. Hopefully I won't be disappointed with the BH80-x.

That is a good BH, same design, build etc just a bit less reach/power than the 90x. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. I didn't recall that the 90x was that much more expensive than the 80x. No reason for it other than marketing. Maybe $500 more in steel and bigger hydraulics but manufacturing labor would be literally identical. Same baloney as Kioti charging $1500 more for the DK45 and again for the DK50 when they are literally identical tractors to the DK40 except for engine bore (or for the 50 bore and stroke). Marketing baloney.

I have the 45 HST and woods BH80. I think you will be happy with your choice. I wish for 90 when digging out a stump or additional reach to dump dirt. I think you will find a lot of use first year, after that 2 to 3 times per year.
I like easy availability of Woods parts you can get them at any dealer not just Kioti.

I got the BH-80x but have not used it yet. I had the dealer deliver it and remove it at my property and show me how to put the 3 point back on. The BH looked easy enough to put back on but after 2 hours of screwing around I could not get it to line up to the subframe. I understand how it goes on but just can't get it lined up. Any tricks?? Otherwise I am going to just call the dealer and have them show me.
