I've been all over it a couple of times and can't find anything that could be causing this. I jacked the wheels up off the ground and ran the tractor like that and couldn't get the noise to recur that way. The only way it happens is actually moving and it comes and goes. I'm thinking that it's probably the HST transmission, which would mean splitting the tractor. I don't have the facilities or equipment to do that so, it'll have to go to a shop.
So my question is this, if it's the HST, will I save any money or potential damage to other parts of the tractor by taking it in now or should I just run it until it dies and deal with it then?
