White 2-30 Transmission and hydraulic breather

Hydraulic oil is getting into my transmission. I have noticed that the breather for the transmission and the hydraulics have a hose connecting the two. This doesn't seem be right to me.
If someone out there has this model would you check your tractor. The hydraulic breather is under the seat and the transmission breather is on top the left axle.
