To paraphrase Supreme Court justice Potter Stewart.It would be a good idea to educate the mods on what exactly is and is not political...because based on past activity posts have been removed because the powers that be simply thought they were political in nature but actually had nothing to do with partisan or any type of politics...!

The onus is on the person making the post. If they think it might be political, do not post it.
And no matter who is signing the checks, Alabama, Tennessee or the feds, the people doing the work are likely to be private contractors not federal or state employees. The only difference is who's overseeing them and who signs the check.The feds can share cost on many transportation projects, but only have to pay on federal property and dc.

More likely some kind of mix. The laborers and machine operators may be private, but state and federal employees are almost always present in the form of field supervisors, engineers, inspectors, etc.the people doing the work are likely to be private contractors not federal or state employees.
