Who builds the 790?

My brother is looking at getting a small tractor for the farm and likes the 790. I guess he has found a dealer that has one that has about 60 hours ont it and at a good price. The dealer told him that this is the only small tractor that JD builds themselves unlike alot of the others that are built off shores. Was this a true statement? It really does not matter but he thought as well I did that pretty much all small utility tractors were off shore product. He is supposed to go in today and work the final numbers and hopefully bring it home. Just thought I would clarify the statement from all you super smart TBN'rs.

The 790 is built entirely in Japan by Yanmar to Deere specs. The original 4000 series were built in Georgia with Yanmar engines. I believe the current 4X20 series are entirely made in US but not certain. I have a 790 and the tag on the rear axle housing is pretty clear. It's a great tractor no matter it's heritage /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The only bad thing about the deal is that the dealer seems like the type that would say anything to get the sale. I hope he does get it so I have something else to play with.
