Who carries the best warranty on tractors?

Today's tractors are pretty solid investments. I see warranties on anything as a reflection of what a supplier thinks of his equipment. 4-6 years seem to be the norm. On who buys what, looking on here at what brand gets the most postings and looking at the content of those postings should give you a pretty good idea as to what works best and what suits owners most. Keep in mind that some buy because of brand loyalty, others: Dealer accessibility, cost, country of origin, popularity with their buddies and all that.

You can see what I bought. I bought Branson because I was looking for a fully decked out tractor in 2007 and none of the popular colors had what I wanted. Branson did. I had a couple of minor problems when first purchased and the local rep, warranty parts, and my effort and that was that. I broke cab glass a couple of times due to rocks from a side mounted mower and they had the glass to me within a week both times. I abused my front end a couple of years ago, tractor out of warranty, my fault, not a warranty issue anyway, and had the parts in a few days and had it back up and running within a week with my labor. I wanted a small FEL tractor for work around the place and bought theirs because of the reliability of the '07.

In older tractors I had lots of colors over the years but for now Ford does what I want. Just my preference. Course you don't get a warranty with old tractors...you get what you get.

I wouldn't give a hang about the warranty. Sometimes making them make good is a real problem.

I'd ask the question about who's the most troublefree tractor around. Getting stuff fixed on warranty is a pain. Better to not have anything needing to be fixed. I'm a whole lot happier with my 2025R that hasn't required a thing, like its 4010 cousin before it vs. numerous calls to JD to fix stuff on my 1025R.

This. We have a larger LS tractor at work (a 7040), and the warranty has been great, unfortunately we've had to use it quite a bit. The front axle has been rebuilt three or four times, the transmission has been gone through at least once (it would get jammed in gear) and the throttle cable (I think) has been replaced a couple times as well.
All done by the dealer at no charge to us, which is good, but when you are depending on a tractor and it's not working it's problematic.
As such, at 4 years old it is getting replaced with a Deere.

Never had a warranty issue w/ a loader but presumed it was covered under the general tractor coverage.?.

major, I found out what CMV said when shopping for tractors - you only get 1 or 2 year warranty on the loader or backhoe even though they might give you 6 years on the tractor. Definitely gives perspective for not abusing your loader or backhoe and thinking it's covered.

Warranties aren't worth a hoot if you dont have a good dealer that is willing to do warranty work, I would find out who is the most reputable dealer in your area, preferably one who has been around a while and buy a tractor from them. Most dealers don't want to do warranty work,
and especially not on a tractor that you got a better deal on from their competitor.
