Todays world has ran me off into the woods to play with my tractors. The cell phone stays on a table like a home phone use to. I do take it on traveling to town.
The recording systems you go through to get information are inhumane. By the time you get a humane your to perturbed to be nice. My lip bleeds to not blame the person on the phone.
Its just wrong to spend hours to deal with issues and not get the right answer.
Ill continue to stay in the woods and keep contact with the world to as little as I can.
I'm happy hiding the woods.

It's a good thing that some of the places don't hear the things I say to their computer while trying to negotiate their "help" system, expecially those stupid talking computers which don't understand what you're saying, and talk with a syrupy voice which I swear is designed to infuriate you further. I quite often end calls with the words " computers." I went 10 years without a landline, because I couldn't get past their computer.

Then again maybe they should hear some of the things people are saying to them.

I love regulations, dealt with customs when importing a fly reel from the USA, according to the regs it would attract a certain tax because no one here makes them, when it arrived I was charged a couple of additional tariifs because, according to their interpretation of the rule, it could be.

I identify completely, wanting to leave the high tech and BS world behind to do something outside on the farm. Preferably without DPF and computers. With mud, grease and blood! Oh, Pisss and beer too.

Number of years ago, I was calling someone and was a bit irritated about the situation.... finally reached a live voice, calmly told him the issue to which he put me on hold, listening to their soothing music...

Wife was in room and asked me something.... I essentially told her "Hang on honey, I'm on hold with this idiot from (wherever it was..."

When suddenly, he popped back on and said "Just to inform you, I can hear every word you're saying" then put me back on hold.

Oops....


So be aware that just because YOU are on hold with music, doesn't mean THEY are on hold with same music....

That’s OK, I never say anything they shouldnt hear. It isn’t my fault if they dont like it.

I always wondered about that, because I have said things, I hoped they would hear, while I am on HOLD, but would be unable to say to them because it would give them just cause to hang up immediately. I do doubt that technology though. He would have to be listening to the music as well on a two way voice channel, but could have his mic muted. Different question, could it be recorded while on HOLD? I have to ask my Pharma Call Center, friend/customer.
