I started working on a farm when I was 18 and my boss always wore a pair of pliers in a holder. After a while I realized how handy they were because I was always asking to use his. He bought me a holder and a pair of pliers and every since I always "wear my pliers" if I'm working outside.
Anyone else wear pliers? If you don't I highly suggest giving it a try! They work as, well, pliers, hammer, wire cutter, pry bar, device to jump across starter solenoid , digger, shim, etc. etc.
I feel "naked" if I ever find myself without them when working outside. I used to haul hay and always wore them in my holder and never lost a pair. I've spent countless hours in/on tractors, combines, sprayers, trucks, etc; and have never had them fall out. I've had the same pair of pliers for nearly 10 years now!
