Bought a new to me 2025R recently with loaded tires. My place is mostly flat or very gentle slope and cleared with only horse barn cleanup and garden loader work moving compost and heavy stuff on a crusher run base between barn and garden. So I'm really tired of the R-4s leaving deep tire marks in the yard (which are worse now that I have 500lbs ballast sometimes on a rear weight bar for loader work that really dig deeper tread marks in the dirt).

Soooo... who did this swap of buying R3 Turf Radials and rims from the dealer and selling their R-4s to get an idea how much this is gonna cost me? I am patient at selling on Craigslist, etc. and frugal by nature (if ya hadn't noticed already? ;-) I'm thinking it's best to do the tires/rims only to make it easier to sell the R-4s as "bolt-on" changes which folks seem to prefer (so they know the tires are good mounted on the rims, etc.) Thanks!

I will be doing a switch from R4 to the R3 tires next summer for my Kioti CK4010. My R4 tires should be nearly worn out by then and ready to be replaced. My primary reason for changing to R3 tires is the same as yours. I am just sick to death of the constant ruts and turf damage. In my case, I won't have to purchase new rims for the front tires, as turfs will fit just fine. But I do need to purchase a different sized rear rim in order to add Turf radials. Check sizes carefully, and get turfs with strongest sidewalls available.

Check Tucker Tire in Dyersburg, TN. They ship mounted tires at good prices. I got a mounted front and rear set of R1's for our JD4300 for about $1200.

Can you share a pic of the set on your 4300 ? Would like to see how the 4300 looks, and what the rims look like as well.
Are they Deere rims that share a number of different wheel widths ?

Did you find a buyer for the original rims ? and were the old tires R4's ? Sorry for all the questions.. ;)

Pics attached. I went up a size for more ballast in rears. 7-16 front, 12.4-24 rear. Rears are 2pc for adjustable width. We set them 3rd widest. I can still swap sides to get 6" or so wider per side. Rears filled with Rimguard. We have a hill farm, and took 1 too many down hill slides on the R4's.

Still have the original 7-15 and 15-19.5 R4's here at farm. Tires are 30% at best. Still filled with MeOH. 20201225_120850.jpg20201225_120926.jpg20201225_120944.jpg
