Who has snow?

Hey, it's December.

Let's get the show on the road. I am ready!

Actually, I will not be saying that in a few months.

I have a theory. It should snow in December. Be beautiful towards the end of the month. Only white clean snow. None of this dirty sloppy sand and salt filled stuff.

Then on January 2nd of each year it warms up to 70 degrees and stays there until the following October when it starts to slowly cool.

This actually happens every year where I live here in Nothern Indiana.

NOT Really! Like Foghorn Leghorn always said: "It's a joke Son. Just a Joke".

We have had maybe a couple of snows here in Ohio with about 2 inch accumulations each. However the snow didn't last as the temperatures have fluctuated up and down quite a bit. As I write this post it is now 28 degrees but now we have no snow.

I am optimistic and I have the Woods 6' snowblower sitting on 2 wheeled appliance dollies ready to be aligned with the TC-40D quickly.

Let it blow snow.......

Had about 1/2 inch over the weekend. It's still there in the shade. Pretty poor winter, so far.

We had a mere 1.5 inch yesterday at rush hour. But it turned to glare ice and traffic came to a standstill.

People spent 4 hours getting to work. I normally arrive at 6:30 and got in at 7:30. Had the whole place to myself for the next hour.

At my kids school they stayed in first period class from 7:15 until 10:00 - the teachers and busses couldn't make it in.

Just flurries over here in the western part of New Hampshire. Too much wind for the snow to stay on the ground.
--BUT--
It is cold here this morning, 8 F at 7:00 am with the promise of a high of 20 F today. I would rather have a foot of snow with the temps in the 20's than this single digit temperature.

However, the local loggers are happy that the ground is starting to freeze. They haven't been able to work in the woods around here for more than a month.

Heck, I'm happy that it has warmed up to 10°F already this morning.

I must be getting old or something because I'm already sick of the snow this year. I guess I should close up our pool. It doesn't look like it is going to warm up anytime soon.

I don't mind the big snow storms but the lake effect stuff everyday is a drag.

It's 12 degrees F right now in eastern upstate New York, but we've only had a few flurries. This weekend, we have some friends coming over to help us put chains on our tractors, so we'll be ready for the snow. It'll be here soon, I'm sure.
