who has the best diesel fuel?????????

Factor in all the different components, processes and raw supply of each refinery and you will find that no one company will rate as best across the land at all times.

The question has no answere.

And OHH -- The seller may not have his own product in the tanks! Just look around for the nearest refinery!

I totally agree with Egon.. I have been lead to believe that BP has better quality controls and offers a higher grade of diesel in most locations, especially in Canada.. But diesel has too many variables and its hard to say... Go with a high volume truck stop and add a fuel treatment(cetane booster)..

I haven't seen any specs on diesel fuels, but Cities Service (now BP) is the nicest looking stuff I've ever put in the tank of my 240D. It was water white.

ALL DIESEL will be this way as of about June-September this year because all refiners will have to hydrogenate the rest of the sulfur out (well, down to 15 ppm) by that time.

I'd like to see congress require all diesel fuel to be B5 to B20 to ease biodiesel into the mix (B5=5% bio; B20=20%). Bio diesel has NO sulfur.

Who is most likely selling the most fuel one little truck stop selling on road diesel to truckers or a Bulk Plant and 2 other distributors assisting the bulk plant with delivery of off road diesel ?

To the best of my knowledge BP, Chevron and Sunoco refine a premium product. In my area I use the Amoco/BP Premier diesel. I think the cetane minimum is 45 to 50, has lube etc. Years back when I was worked for distributors the Amoco was considered the best by many users in my area. Shell did not offer a premium to the best of my knowledge. I have run the Amoco for over 30 years and have yet to gell up or have any fuel system problems and do not add any additives.

You probably won't have a choice between all the major brands.
Best Bet is to thoroughly check out everything available in your area then go from there.

Are you saying a consumer can drive up to the bulk plant or the distributor and have them fill up their container?
