Here in the northeast, specifically the area north and west of Boston, ALL on-road diesel comes from the same bulk storage tanks no matter what the brand. I don't think brand specific chemical packets are added to the diesel at the rack like for gasoline.
This means that today you may get diesel that was refined by ABC and the next time you may get diesel from a batch refined by XYZ.
Basically the same thing happens for gasoline except that Mobil has their own bulk storage tanks.
