Go for it!
SPEND! SPEND! SPEND!
It doesn't matter if you can actually afford it!
Spend MORE, so you can qualify to spend STILL MORE, and then qualify to borrow even MORE!
After that.......you can go to your approved method to "build back credit".
Why would anyone who is fiscally responsible need to "build back credit" though?
How silly of me.....it must be all about the new age American way!

Sure am glad none of my three adult children (56,54,49) don't think that way.
If they did, their inheritance would be destined for Goodwill instead.
They wouldn't need/deserve anything,....because they could always just borrow more!
Yes, you are silly.
He explained wise guy what happened to him and had little to do with "fiscal irresponsibility". You're so afraid to be wrong you need to continue to be a dumbazz?
You notice he hasn't been back here?
Maybe he's just a troll waiting for holier- than- thous like yourself to get their panties in a wad and spew your righteousness.

I don't have an issue with someone borrowing money to build credit. I don't have an issue with people borrowing money for something that is necessary. The problem comes in when people borrow money for things they don't really NEED and have trouble coming up with a down payment.

I borrowed for my tractor with $0 down because that was the deal offered. The interest is low enough that it isn't really an issue. I could have put 10 or maybe even 20% down if it would have made a significant difference. I also knew where the payment would be coming from, that it would be a stable source and that it wasn't needed for anything else.

A six figure income having trouble coming up with a down payment signals trouble in my eye.

So?
The guy didn't ask what you or anyone else thinks are "issues" toward "trouble". The guy asked if anyone knew of lower rates for tractors.
I tried to provide info on why "lower rates" could be one perspective and gave examples, backed by math, that perhaps they weren't as tantamount toward a needed purchase dependent on the importance of use for the actual purchase. In other words, he could be making more money haying than he could by obtaining a lower rate which does not amount to any significant difference.
That's a decision only he can make.

Instead, he gets a lecture from all the righteous ones on how he should lead his financial life.

Obviously,..... in your world, I am a dumbazz!
With your insults,.... you, Mr. Foster, RI., just earned yourself the 2nd spot on my ignore list.
Congratulations!
First place was taken a long while ago, by another much like yourself.
My apologies that you could not be first!

Are you done?

Lighten up. Arrow is correct. The OP doesn’t need advice on his financial issues. I’ll bet he regrets telling us his back story. He should.

Give your kids inheritance to goodwill? Really.....

NH does their own financing through CNH Industrial Capital. Dealer should be able to give you the details on financing. You can apply online, once we had a price I had my approval before I left the dealership.

I did check yesterday with Kioti tractor Dealer near me about financing.

The best tractor financing programs require credit scores over 680 but there are programs in the marketplace for most credit profiles. Often, tractors can be financed with FICO scores all the way down to 580 based on income, cash flow, collateral, downpayment and other factors. Short term loans (3 years) and higher down payments, typically get the quick approval. Short term loans are preferred, because the finance company knows from experience, most people with jobs or small businesses seem to turnover every 3 to 5 years. So 3 year loans are preferred, and they also come with lowest financing costs.

So would suggest the OP work on rebuilding the credit FICO score, put a little aside each month for saving a higher downpayment, and work with the dealer and his financing group on applying in a way, that would not be a rejection on your credit report.

If you think being out of work for “a couple months” and not being able to pay bills during that time isnt fiscally irresponsible... well I dunno what to say.

OP’s initial post has financial time bomb written all over it, again!

If you are still considering a Workmaster 75 there is a YouTube channel called CenTex Ag using a WM 75 for his hay business. Some really good videos to see what it is capable of doing. I really like my WM 75. I bought it at Four Brothers in Terrell. Good people to deal with in both sales and service.

If you look at the OP's first posting, his signature says he HAS a Ford 4610.... which is a dandy tractor of pretty much exactly the size that he is looking to buy new.

Maybe a good way to fix his credit is just to use what he has. That is a proven method that has worked for many people and for several generations now.

just sayin'
