Who has the ford8000 I\'ve talked to previously?

I recall someone here has a ford 8000, and I've talked to you about pto issues before. I've got an aquaintenance that has an 8000 with an 'always' spinning pto.. need advice.

I don't own an 8000, but I have fixed enough Ford PTO's to be able to help you. Post back or PM me.

An aquaintance has a ford 8000 with pto that stays on.

General consensus is

A: bad brake and fluid coupling making it spin... i.e. not much problem.. let it go till clutch packs or valves need service, as drag of implement should stop it when connected.or if money is plentiful.. split and service brake.. inspect clutch packs etc.

or B: problem in clutch pack or valve, and a required split to service.

We on the right track?

Never mind.. i see you are already lending a hand!

There was another fellow here who has an 8000.. when I went to look at one and saw the same issue, he was giving me some specific info on it.. wish I could remember his name. guess it doesn't matter... looks like this is probably the same info anyway!
