Who has the oldest/most hours on their Ch tractor?

I bought a 204 Jinma in April of 04' and I've used it for 210 hrs. Was a dealer demo with 10 hrs. So far so good. Did lots of fel and box work at first. Much of the heavy lifting is done. Now it moves horse manure mostly, although I keep finding more and more uses for it that I never really intended.

My 284 has just under 300 on it now but my buddies has twice as much they were in the same container comming from china, one other one had nearly 800 hrs on it when I last talked to the gent who bought it for his horse farm/buisness. and been moving a lot of large round bails with it... most of my use has been pretty abuse ive with few minor problems/breaks and no major ones. one of the other two has been turned onto it;s side and the other fell into the backhoe ditch. a wrecker righted the first one the other made it out on it's own... (ok mine fell into the back hoe ditch /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif but my brother was one running it /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif ) it wasn't too deep of ditch 4' or so and the backhoe on back helpped get it free under my controling of it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif outrigger lifted it up & then pushed sideways with boom to re-straddel the trench.

anyhow tough machines and I have faith they will run many many hrs. a long time back someone reported over 1000 hrs on a close qtrs brush hog 284 used for semi-commercial use.

I'll bet some of those tractors in China have a lot of hours on them???

When I was looking to buy a tractor I talked to Nortrac and Brian up there told me they have a local customer who has over 5000 hrs. on his and on his third set of tires with no major problems other than a hydraulic pump because a quick disconnect came apart.
So we will see.

I think that is one of the most prevalant problems i see posted about here.. hyd issues due to ill fitting or loose QD's.

Seems there needs to be a factory fix for this.. aside from the owner having to zip tie them together..

Any ideas?

You are correct, that the "standard" jinma 200 series hyd plumbing, has some issues. Most of it is with those disconnects that are right after the pump, designed for the ZL20 FEL hook-ups. Some importers/dealers, plumb Koyker or other US FELS past the diverter valve. I have not heard specific pump problems with those hook-ups, but don't know for sure.

I have been considering, for a few years now, revamping the standard Jinma hyd plumbing, especially with respect to the FEL hook-ups. What would be helpful to me, is detailed info on newer tractor hyd systems. Can you provide that info off of one of your tractors? The plumbing schematic, and any additional info, would be great. The more detail, the better.

I've had two Jinma's (trade-ins) in the past, one hour meter quit at 65 hours, the other quit at 125 hours. Both still ran fine with only relatively minor issues. How reliable are the hour meters?

I can certainly scan the hyd section page from my 5000 / 7610 manual. The hyds setup is 'virtually' unchanged from about 75 and up. And even from 53 and up, the setup is a hard line from the pump to an internal spool or tap block, where a pressure relief is integral. That is.. there is no way to fault the pump or deadhead it with oem plumbing, as there is a hardline straight to a section where that relief can protect the pump. ( differs on different modens, some use a tap block.. some the hyd cover.. etc )- ( my 1920 had a power beyond selector tap block after the pump, and then on to the lift cover. My 7610 pump is under the hyds section, and hardlined to the relief int he lift cover. Aux port over tot he remotes, and they have their own relief.. etc. 5000 has the remote spools tappe doff the hyd top cover, and uses the internal relief the 3pt uses.. Same with my 660.. etc.

I believe there was a dealer here that posted that he had made a setup that would plumb the hydro pump directly to a relief valve, Had a hose that either vented to ground ( emergency ) or could be routed to tank. From there, the hyd qd was mounted and the rest of the plumbing was as usual. He said not many people opted for this due tot he extra couple hundred bucks in cost for the relief and hoses.... However.. seemed like a great setup to me. A loose qd wouldn't deadhead a pump.. it would just make the relief pop.

I have access to dozens of heavy equipment manuals like cat and JD, komatsu, bros, hitachi.. etc.. and would be willing to scan or fax copies of their fluid power diagrams to you. I think I have a jd 2240 manual kicking around somewhere as well.

As for 'new' and tractor.. I only got one.. my 2002 NH 7610s.. the rest are oldies.. though even the oldies had inline serial reliefs to protect the pump in case of downstream blockage.

I bought my Jinma 284 four years ago and it had almost 500 hours on it when the tach quit working about 4 months ago. Its been a great value and I would buy again.
