Brand Loyalty...that's the every manufacturer's dream. I'm not a dream customer, I don't repeat purchase often. I buy what looks to offer the best value at the time.
Here's my littany of vehicles that I have owned, number of years owned, their mileage, worst problem, & largest unscheduled repair.
Suzuki SJ410 (pre-Samurai) - 1.5 yrs, 47K mi., multiple problems, worn canvas out top - $350
Toyata SR5 P/U - 5yrs, 87K mi., body rust through, transmission repair/new clutch @ 60K mi. - $860
Chevy S10 P/U - 5yrs, 127K mi., no complaints, fan blower motor - $26
Ford F150 P/U - 5yrs, 77K mi., driver window slow to go down, no repairs - $0
Lincoln LS (my first car)- 1.5 yrs, 23K mi., no problems, no repairs - $0
Now, I'm not suggesting that anyone run out & buy a Ford, I really was happy with my Chevy too. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif The Toyota, despite all of the hype, let me down. I do know a little about statistics, and my sample size of 5 vehicles suggests that any conclusions that I reach will be meaningless. Now, I've only owned 1 CUT, so like many TBN'ers, I don't really have any basis to say which type or model of tractor is the best.
I do admit that own a bunch Husky products, but I am really more partial to the dealership than to Husqvarna. It's the type of place where can you hop up on a stool, and just shoot the breeze for a while. Oh yeah, and buy a chainsaw or two. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
