Who likes their Neon?

Just my take on it as a Ford guy myself... While it is a Chrysler product(I'm not a fan in general) it is their entry level car, similar to Ford's Escort in the past or Focus more recently.. They made and sold allot of them, they are reliable and economical from a fuel and general cost point of veiw.. So, they are a dime a dozen I would say.. The issue is that more of them are out there on the used market than the people willing to drive them.. Some folks are just "too good" to drive a compact car.. Add that to the fact that most of these cars have high mileage and cheap financing rates on new ones and the new ones tend to win out in most peoples minds.. Some of the best cars out there but their just not a status symbol, so their not as desirable.. Just my take on it..

HGM, I think you hit the nail on the head. That plus entry level cars used to be the domain of young families. Now, with the child seat requirements, young families are almost pushed into a mini-van...whether they can afford it or not.

RonJ, My Neon is stick shift....but I want to keep it. I'll probably drive it until it turns into a maintenance headache or rusts out. My friend's Neon is automatic and he's the one looking to sell. He's in his 80s and no longer wants two cars.
