Who Makes a Good Walk Behind Self Propelled Mower?

I've got a 6.5hp Silver Series Pro Lawn Boy. Good machine, but I wish I bought the self propelled model now that my lawn is so much larger.

Yeah, I can't see myself ever buying a walk-behind mower that isn't self propelled.

It took time and some serious landscaping but I have totally eliminated the walk behinds in my life. Now between the LX280 and the Lancer I get it all from the seat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's the way to go. For me, I leave the SP mowing and weed-wacking to the kids and wife /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. G

My wife and I have a great arrangement - She keeps the inside up and I do the outside - but the kids??? I have a daughter... 10 years old, and if you can share some great way to motivate her away from "non-stop, non-sense TV" - cripes, I about ready to cut the cable I'm so frustrated by it. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I also have a Toro 6.5hp self propelled - decent machine, but the lawn boy cuts a lot better. On days my rear-end is dragging the Toro gets the nod, but I use both of them.

Basically it is the same way for us as a rule, but, we do help each other in each others territory /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
As for my 11 and 15 year old, they help or else /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. G

I have twin 14 year olds. They too need the "or else!" treatment occasionally! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah - I was afraid of that - We use the "threat" occasionaly to get her out too - no TV for a week - allowance goes bye bye - stuff like that. Not to wax nostalgic, but I remember as a kid that yard work was just part of the deal - we all did it. Now you'd think it's slavery or something - very dramatic /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
