Who makes a synthetic trans fluid like Kubota's SUDT2?

I tend to read any marketing labels just like politician BS. It says it performs like a synthetic, it doesn't say it's a synthetic.

I use it & don't dispute how well it works. Just not sold it's completely synthetic.

Amsoil claims to be fully synthetic. But, I will not bet the farm on it. It is priced like full synthetic. Ventrac markets a claimed to be full synthetic, but I get the impression it is re-labed Amsoil. If you have hydrostatic, make sure you meet specs.

I asked the Kubota dealer about the SUDT2 in my LS . He wouldn't confirm that it was full synthetic and he also said that I may not want to use it in the little LS that I have. He said that some that have- feel a change in the pedal. Another poster that has my same tractor said he liked the Amsoil stuff and noticed things like improved noise differences etc. When I did my 50, I changed the LS over to the Amsoil. I can't say that I saw a difference. AMSOIL Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Oil SAE 5W-3
I was led to believe the 'S' in SUDT stood for synthetic, so the dealer was dumb or lying....

Several years ago I researched this issue, and determined that SUDT2 was a synthetic blend. Don't recall the source(s), but it was not just somebody's opinion.
Regardless, it's what I use in (3) different Kubota machines, and I'm satisfied with it !

Time to figure this out and I found on Messick's (Kubota) website the words that took so long to hear...

"Kubota Super UDT2 is an advanced full-synthetic...

Now we need to find other full synthetic trans fluid so I can run in other brands without the nosebleed price of OEM. That would be nice and surely by now, it's out there?

I.M.H.O. Sorry but the average owner with one tractor(not a fleet) and the need to service(maybe every 2-3 years) with a fair investment in equipment now needs to save a few bucks on hydraulic fluid, and take a chance that it might work.
Never understood this.

Will dang, that's plain enough. Maybe I looked into one of the earlier enhanced UDT varieties.

John Deere had their “special” hydraulic fluid, either Hy-Gard or low viscosity Hy-Gard. There’s all sorts of fluids that say they meet Kubotas and JD’s specs but I’ve always just spent the extra money and bought the real thing.

I often have people telling me about what oils they are using. Here in the northeast I always liked the Case ultra hytran as IH has built hydro's since the 60's and I know they do a great job of dealing with the moisture problems of condensation. Here the moisture will often dictate the frequency of change more then the hours. The Super UDT has proven to be better in many areas over the Hytran which has been superior to the John Deere fluids and many others during winter time for quicker response and less freezing issues. The Super UDT can make a hydro quieter as well as more responsive then any applications original oils we have worked with. That is per our customers when we have changed them out. I would wonder if with the thoughts of extended changes with synthetic if it would be worth it?
A Kubota trained senior mechanic recommended to me just to change f8lters often and only change fluids if burnt for appear contiminated. Sending out for analysis is a CG ood idea.
