who makes JD rotory cutters. Looking to buy one

As of about a month ago all the LX cutters are now built by Frontier Equipment.

Is Frontier a separate company from John Deere or are they owned by JD? Does Frontier have a website or is their only marketing channel through JD?

Frontier is a marketing group, that is a subsidiary of Deere.
They spec out equipment to sell under their brand and have
a manufacturer build to their spec.
The new LX mowers are now Frontier mowers, and I believe they
are being built in Illinois.
Most of the other Frontier equipment, is name brand stuff, ie
Befco, Woods, Worksaver, Maschio, H&S etc.

Thanks for the clarification. That's the impression I got from my JD dealer. However, Caustik's post gave me the impression that they actually manufactured something. Are they actually manufacturing the LX rotary cutter or are they outsourcing it to another implement manufacturing company to build it to their specs?
