Who rides motorcycles?

Y'know I can't help but notice that after all those miles there's still no pickup truck jammed into the back of that nice motorbike. :)

That would be correct!! Some close calls but all my training has paid off over the years..

I have a great story but I suck at typing so I'm not going there...

Thank goodness, the other driver's insurance disagreed and agreed that the truck driver had a responsibility to drive safely and by rear ending me was at fault. There are times when it is impossible to avoid an unsafe driver and subsequently insurance is required. You probably don't even have insurance since you can avoid all of the unsafe uninsured drivers out there.

Yep, I carry the most insurance I can buy on the bike, car , truck, whatever … but yes, happy to say I've never needed it on the bike!!

So maybe keep the thread on track about motorcycles and not how to ride, that's why I posted this originally. Just wanting to see how many riders and what you ride. Don't much care about your riding strategies, everyone has their opinions about that.

My latest acquisition. A 2011 Kawasaki Concours or as some call them GTR 1400. Bought from original owner with 4k miles on it for $5,200. Recently had Ivan's ECU reflash done and should be pushing about 160 HP.

Well jee wiz , the title of the thread is "Who RIDES motorcycles" Not "Whatcha got for a motorcycle in the garage these days?"

Nice looking ride..

Yep, agreed. Just seems these threads get way off track. No need for that. Don't care how much training anyone has had or how to do this or how to do that. We all know how to ride

Yep, proper training can without a doubt replace real world experience!!
I've seen/known lots of people who've been riding a lot longer than that and have no clue how to ride, and they all say the same thing as they put their outriggers down and perform a perfect 23 point turn in a 2 lane road and ride away!
