Who sells a good Dirt Scoop?

I've used my 30" KK scoop in clay some. If you get the tilt right, you can get it to dig in pretty well, and it slices up chunks of clay. Mostly, though, I was moving piled up spoil from where I had some crawl space dug for an addition to the house. That was mixed clay and top soil and the scoop worked great when I had enough traction to dig in. It takes a little practice and playing with the tilt angle to get a full scoop.

Yep.. that scoop of mine was in clay. Harder than dirt.. and much harder than sandy loam.. but it works.

If it's piled clay.. it isn't too bad. If it is in place clay.. I'd use a low angle of attack and scrape a few feet of it up rather that plungint it into the ground and trying to rip up a chunk immediatly..

Thanks for all the feedback. I bought a KK dirt scoop last night and a KK TG-60" tiller. I would rather have had the CCM tiller, I like them a lot, but I settled for the lower up-front cost.
