yeow, 4wd. got my new tn65 saturday w/ 32la fel and radial ag tires. i was doing things with this beauty i never would have considered with my old JD 2020. thanks to all who convinced me to go 4wd, amazing. moved a few trees that isabel left felled...were like toothpicks to this tractor. my hills, ruts, were nothing. this is going to be fun. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Which transmission did you get? I'm looking at a TN65 w/ 8x8 synchro trans and am still interested in the electro-hydraulic unit and the 16x16.

i got the 8x8 synchro. that's a step up for me, being able to shift on the fly, am used to having to stop before shifting. i don't do a ton of fel work, at least not the repetitious type, so i didn't opt for the electro-hydraulic. the forward and reverse shuttle is very good, quite adequate for my needs.

I have the 8x8 and that's the one thing I would do differently if I had it to do over. There is nothing wrong with the trans per se, I just wish it had lower gears for when I want full power but need to creep around buildings and fences and delicate stuff like that. I do a lot of my work in backyards where a TC 24 would be a way better fit so I like to go real slow to make it easier to keep track of all the busy stuff going on at both ends.
