The reason the best deals are so far away is related to probability. The further the distance the greater the number or units for sale in the area that is defined by the distance(can think of it a a radius). Assuming that the roughly equal tractor populations in all areas (I know it's not a great assumption) then there will be about 25 times more tractors for sale in a 500 mile radius then a 100 mile radius. Odds are the one you want is further out....
