We use Deere equipment on our family farm and dealer support here is unbeatable...

I have owned kubota and New Holland but didnt have near as good dealer support or parts. I had to drive 45 minutes for kubota parts

my brand is ford.. and to a lesser extent NH.. at least the 90's ere NH's that were still using the ford patterns on the larger stuff.

main reason./. it's tought and easy to work on.. good parts support for the hi production # units.. especially the antiques.

A long time, well respected friend has a MF dealership so when the time came I went straight to him and they had something I was looking for, a used 1533 with a loader and low hours, didn't bother shopping around. The owner also had a MF 1533 so that is a good endorsement as any!

But really, I should have gotten a McCormick, since my last name is... McCormick :D Maybe next time.

That would've been kinda cool. "Hi, I'm Mack and this is my Mack."

Not trying to knock anybody's choice but when I purchased my second JD I also looked at the new Boomers, I really liked the looks of the TC-30 with it's squared off lines compared to the rounded corners of the new design Boomers...used to borrow my buddies Ford 1520 and those were no longer available so I considered the TC-30.

Might be just a quirk but I wanted a tractor that LOOKED like a tractor...

Great comments guys. Well sounds like the dealer plays a verry big role in yalls choices.

Yeah. Most of the dealers around here wouldn't give us much assistance when shopping for tractors. I think because they were smaller tractors, not larger ones, and probably less profit. So I bought factory direct over the internet. Power Trac has NO dealers. :D

that's why I like the legacy ford line NH took over and the large ones intot he 90's.. square and boxy.. I like that.

I grew up (literally) on JD "two-cylinders", have always used them, until I sold my last one a year ago. Bought a JD 790 compact w/loader, also collect JD garden tractors & attachments.

Wouldn't want anything else! ~~ grnspot110

I bought a Massey GC2610TLB because it had a better loader capacity than the Kabota. The Deere cost too much money and it was like walking into a slick car dealer's showroom. I'm at 30 hours and not sorry yet.

I own 2 Kubota's and have had excellent dealer support. I also have had interaction with some local J.D. dealers for research and they have been exemplary in their help and support. Based on my experience the dealership is one of the primary factors. The other factor is purely personal, how does the tractor feel to you? This and the dealer aspect are probably the 2 most important considerations you can make. All the numeric specs are just that, not much separating the colors now-a-days. All the brands have had a lemon or two. Do the research before you buy. Great info here at TBN.
