Why can't we have more good news like this

I really wish more news agencies would publish MORE stories like this, instead of concentrating on the bad. I know I've herd that the negitave sells more, but I prefer this type of news. This is on several news sites, not just this one. America at her finest.

I agree, it is very nice to see that some people do realize their good fortune in life and are willing to share it. You are right, they should include more stories like this in the news.

Because it's pretty darn rare. If it were common, it wouldn't be news. I had breakfast with a friend this am. He lost 1/2 of his retirement funds last year. That is common. Nobody is putting that on the news, he falls in with millions of others. The other story is the exception, and there aren't a whole lot of them out there. You would have a very slim newspaper if you published only the good news.

I guess what I am trying to say is, there aren't millions of people being rescued by the kindness of strangers. There are millions who need it!!!!
